Torrance County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on April 5.

Good afternoon everyone. I just got news from the Governor’s Office Public Safety Advisor, Jeremy Romero, that the Torrance County Sheriff’s Office is considered one of the model agencies in the state. This is a huge accomplishment for our department and I couldn’t be more proud of the work we have done and the deputies who work here.
