2021 has 11.4% of Torrance County residents unemployed

Torrance County recorded an unemployment rate of 11.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 649 people out of the 15,150 living in Torrance County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Torrance County has increased compared to the 9.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Torrance County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.5%.

Everyone who had a job at the time belonged to the civilian labor force.
