Valencia County Sheriff Joined Efforts with Other Departments

Enforcement

Valencia County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on March 25.

Valencia County Sheriff joined efforts with Los Lunas Police Department, Bosque Farms Police Department and Belen police Chiefs regarding multiple complaints of traffic issues, to include speeders, no license plates etc.  All agencies have been affected by these requests to slow drivers in Valencia County.

The results of our joint effort are as follows:

Six traffic enforcement operations were conducted between 2/14 and 3/9/2022. This multi agency operation resulted in 464 traffic citations issued.  Law Enforcement received a substantial amount of positive feedback from the community.  As a result, we will be conducting these types of operations in the near future.  We ask everyone to be conscientious drivers as we all share the road together.

We would like to thank our local Law Enforcement partners for the collaboration to this initiative.

Sheriff Denise Vigil
