On behalf of Guadalupe County, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to all who assisted in fighting the fire that occurred in Santa Rosa. We would like to acknowledge the Guadalupe County Road Department, Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Management, Puerto de Luna, Anton Chico, and Newkirk Fire Departments, as well as other staff members who assisted with the needs of the crew members; the City of Santa Rosa Fire Department, Dispatch, Police Department, EMS, and all other first responders, District Attorney’s Office, and City staff members who assisted with evacuations and sheltering needs.
We would also like to thank Red Cross, State Forestry, BLM, NM State Police, NMDOT, Union Pacific, the State Livestock Inspectors, De Baca County Valley Fire Department, Vaughn Fire Department, Ortega’s Wrecker Service, Johnson’s Wrecker Service, Silver Moon Wrecker Service, TNT Trucking, KSSR Radio, and to all volunteers who assisted in one way or another with food, water, and other necessities. Without the efforts of each and every one of you, as well as the outstanding support of our community.
