I apologize this is a late post, CRIT is staying busy! They are always working for you.
On May 19, 2022 the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) Community Response Impact Team (CRIT), conducted narcotic search warrants in the District of Belen. CRIT received numerous complaints in reference to drug activity from concerned citizens in these areas.
Deputies recovered distribution quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl from their investigations. Deputies seized drug trafficking evidence such as scales, a quantity of US currency, and other drug paraphernalia. The primary targets of these investigations had felony convictions for trafficking controlled substances.
VCSO arrested and charged a total of five defendants from these investigations. The primary targets were charged with trafficking methamphetamine, fentanyl, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Two additional individuals were charged with possession of methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl. The last individual was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
